The purposeful creation and quality care offered at The Koselig House is due to the familial impact that Alzheimer's disease had on owners Kim and Darrin Senn. It is because of love of their Grandma Marion that we strive to provide dedicated memory care supports to those living with memory loss due to Alzheimer's disease or other form of dementia in the DeForest, WI and Madison, WI areas.

What is Memory Care?

Memory Care is a specialized type of service and care for those living with Alzheimer's disease or other form of dementia. 

​

Residents receive additional assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, and incontinence care.  As a licensed Community-Based Residential Facility (CBRF), we offer a variety of general and skilled care services, some of which are included below:

• Medication assistance

• Diabetes management

• Nebulizer administration

• Oxygen supervision

• Incontinence management

• Catheter care

• Ostomy care

• Personal grooming assistance, such as bathing and getting dressed

• Escorts to and from meals, snacks, and activities.

• Scheduling and follow-up with physician appointments

• Coordination of ancillary care services, such as occupational and physical therapy

• Secured entrance and exits

Our Approach to Memory Care Assisted Living

At the Koselig House, we offer more than just a helping hand.  Our goal is to honor each resident by helping them to remain as independent as possible, while focusing on their overall comfort.

Our person-centered approach enables each resident to stay active, eat well, create and maintain friendships, and continue to live life to the fullest, each and every day.

Services and amenities include:

• Private or companion suite with in-room bathroom, shower, and emergency alert systems

• Chef-prepared meals using menus developed by our Dietary Manager and Registered Dietician

• Daily calendar filled with resident specific activities, events, parties and more

• Utilities and Cable (excludes phone)

• Free Wi-Fi

• Housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance services

• 24-hour on-site staff

• Scheduled transportation to local events, errands, and appointments

How much does Memory Care Assisted Living cost?

Memory Care Assisted Living rates vary at The Koselig House, as they are tailored to each resident's needs.  Care services are offered for a monthly charge and are in addition to monthly rent/room and board. The cost of care services is determined prior to move-in during an in-person assessment and is based on the nature of the services needed and the time required to perform them.

What is the cost and timeline of the assessment?

We know that determining if Assisted Living is needed can be confusing and stressful.  This is why we offer FREE admission assessments at whatever time and place is convenient for the resident and their loved one(s).
